Inglewood, was originally known as East Calgary or Brewery Flats developed into a residential, commercial and industrial neighbourhood. In 1911, the neighbourhood was given the name "Inglewood" after a nearby homestead established by Col. James Walker, who was Commissioner of the North West Mounted Police in the west.
